Trust your inner passions more fully, regardless of what others may think. You don’t have to prove anything to anyone; doing so only leads to dismal living and trading passion for pleasing others.

I know. I did that for far too long.

“Know thyself,” and to hell with the Siren’s call of dull duty, obligation, and the satisfying of others’ designs for your life. That’s no easy task to be sure. It’s a wandering path, not a straight one.

Beware of straight paths; it’s the crooked ones that lead to genius.
